![]() Home Inspections - For many, they are a very stressful part of a real estate transaction. For others, home inspections are a great learning opportunity and a way to walk into your new home with "eyes wide open" so-to-speak. Either way, home inspections are a very important part of a real estate transaction. So what is included in a home inspection? A home inspection is a visual inspection of the home and its components, such as: roof, plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, structural items, and much more. But keep in mind that a home inspection is a "visual" inspection. As much as a home inspector would love to have x-ray vision, without dismantling the home he would not be able to tell you what's behind the walls. But a good home inspector doing a thorough home inspection is going to take great care during his home inspection to get into everything he possibly can and find clues to what is really going on in the home. A home inspection is something that should not be missed either. Make sure you either spend time with your home inspector on site, on the phone afterward, or in some way interact with your home inspector. Questions?
